How do I submit my resume to Careerana.com?

To post your Resume at Careerana.com, click on the ‘Post Resume’ link given on the Home Page. The link takes you to the next step of filling up the account and professional details. The information that you provide spans across the details that the recruiters look for. Once that is done you have your profile registered with us. This is your default profile which is sent across to the recruiters when you apply for a particular job vacancy. Though filling up some of the details is not mandatory, but is recommended. It enables you to present to recruiters a resume that is comprehensive and one that gets you headhunted.

How can I update/edit my Profile?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows the summary of your active Profile. To edit the same, click on the ‘View Profile’ Tab given on the same page. This lets you make the necessary changes in your Profile by editing the relevant sections. It is recommended that you update your Profile regularly. This will ensure that you have greater chances of getting headhunted as an updated profile is what recruiters prefer.

How can I create a cover letter?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows a brief summary of your account. To create a cover letter, on the ‘View Profile’ Tab given on the same page. There is a link "Add More" in Cover Letter Details Section. Once you have created a cover letter that suits your profile, click on ‘Add Cover Letter’ to make it a part of your profile.

How can I change the password to my account?

Once you have logged in to your account, you are taken to the page that shows a brief summary of your account. To change your account password, click on the ‘Change Password’ Tab given of the page. You would need to enter your current password and specify and confirm the new one. Once you specified and confirmed the new password, a confirmation mail will be sent directly to your inbox. How do I search for jobs?

Please follow the steps below:

Log into your Careerana Account.
Go to the Search Job tab.
Fill in all the necessary information and then click on the search Button.

What is the ‘Jobs by Category’ option provided on the Home Page?

‘Jobs by Category’ enables you to refine your search by selecting a particular industry that suits your job requirement. The option provides you with a comprehensive list of all the jobs that are available under the chosen category. Clicking on the link further narrows down the category, into the area of specialization that you are looking at.

What is the ‘Jobs by Location’ option provided on the Home Page?

‘Jobs by Location’ enables you to refine your search by selecting that particular city you are looking at for finding a job. Once you have selected a job location, the search result will reflect only those jobs that are based out of the particular location that you have selected.

How can I apply for a selected job?

Once you have selected the job/s that you want to apply for, there are two types of Apply options available to you:
Single Apply with Single Apply, you can apply for one job at a time. This option enables you to view the complete job specifications before applying.
Multiple Apply with Multiple Apply, you can apply for more than one job at a go. All you have to do is to select the jobs you want to apply for. Clicking on the apply button enables you to send your responses to the recruiters simultaneously.

Can I apply for more than one job at a time?

Yes, you have an option to apply for more than one job at a time. Using the Multiple apply option, you can send your responses for the selected job vacancies simultaneously to the employers. You can send up to 20 job applications at a go.

Do I have an option to reapply for a particular job vacancy?

Yes, you have an option of reapplying for majority of the jobs that are advertised with Careerana.com. However, for a few selected ones, recruiters do not accept reapplications, based on the specifications provided by the recruiters. In such a scenario, you will be informed of the same.

How do I know if I have successfully applied for a job?

In case of a successful job application, you will be informed of the same through the confirmation mail sent by us directly to your inbox.

How do I check my application status?

Log into your Careerana Account.
Click on "Dashboard" and check your status in the "View Jobs History" link.

How can I post a job on Careerana.com?

Posting jobs on Careerana.com is quite easy with three (3) easy steps:

Login to your employers/Recruiter’s account at Careerana.com with the username and password mailed to you earlier.
Go to "Post / Save Job "
Fill the Job Posting form, preview and post it.

How long will it take for my job to get reflected on Careerana site?

It takes 30 minutes for a job posted to be visible on the site.

How do I view the applications/responses received for the job that I’ve posted?

For the job that you’ve posted on Careerana, you can choose to receive the applications in two ways:

Email: Directly receive the applications on the email id provided by you while posting the job.
Login to your account, Click on "View Job Response" Section to view responses.

How to delete/make the account invisible to employers?

You cannot delete your profile form our website however you can make the profile invisible. Following are the steps to make your account invisible to the employers search :

1. Login to your Careerana profile.
2.On your dashboard, there is an option of personal settings,so kindly click on the personal settings option.
3. From there you can block your visibility in search and email facility.

How to make the account visible ?

If you have blocked your accounts visibility and you want the profile to be visible to the employers, kindly click on change button in the personal settings option of your dashboard.
